On the afternoon of May 29, China children's friendly community held a grand unveiling ceremony of "Shanghai Jiahang (Haining) demonstration base of China children's friendly community" at the International Symposium on children's social work in conjunction with Haining Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau of Zhejiang Province.

Hand in hand with International Institute of social work, Haining children's friendly community demonstration base unveiled

On May 29-30, 2018, the international seminar on children's social work of "promoting environment friendly services for children's needs" was held in the school of international social work, East China University of science and technology. At the meeting, China children's friendly community promotion plan office and Haining Civil Affairs Bureau of Zhejiang Province jointly organized the sub forum of "children's friendly community", and held a grand unveiling ceremony of "China children's friendly community Shanghai Jiahang (Haining) demonstration base".

During the ceremony, Tan Qinfeng, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Haining Civil Affairs Bureau, introduced the origin and current situation of the construction of Haining children's friendly community.

Haining City is located in the south of the Yangtze River Delta, north of Zhejiang Province, east of Shanghai, west of Hangzhou, with a total area of 700.5 square kilometers. According to the Research Report on the scientific development index of China's small and medium-sized cities released in 2017, Haining ranks the fourth in Zhejiang Province and the 24th in China among the top 100 counties and cities in terms of comprehensive strength. Haining is one of the counties and cities with the most potential for development in the Yangtze River Delta region and the most powerful on the North Bank of Qiantang River.

Haining municipal government attaches great importance to the development of children's welfare. In addition to vigorously developing children's welfare homes, providing basic services for children's protection and care in Haining, it also vigorously develops Children Friendly communities and villages in urban and rural areas. Haining City, in accordance with the standard of the guide for the construction of China's Children Friendly demonstration community, has carried out the construction of Children Friendly Community from three aspects: Policy friendly, environment friendly and service friendly, built a service network of "welfare homes supporting the bottom -- community inclusive", and formed an operation mode of "government led, community operation, social workers' participation and children's development".

Under the witness of the guests, Tan Qinfeng, President of the school of international social work, East China University of science and technology, deputy secretary of the Party committee of Haining Civil Affairs Bureau, and Li Xinmin, Secretary General of Beijing Yongzhen Public Welfare Foundation jointly unveiled the "Shanghai Jiahang (Haining) demonstration base of China's Children Friendly Community", which also marks a solid step forward in the construction of China's children friendly community.
